About.

ASHLEY BEER

Documenting the extraordinary ordinary lives.

Everybody has a story worth sharing. Growing up with a chunky camcorder glued to my hand, i was naturally determined to capture these stories.

I grew up in Manly on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, received my masters in media arts & film production, completed an internship at a film studio in San Francisco and travelled around the world creating short films before relocating to Crescent head, on the Mid-North coast of NSW.

I now live in Crescent Head with my partner and two beautiful children in our home that we are forever building.

Years ago i was asked to capture my friends wedding day. As simple as that, this is where it all began. Like a fly on the wall, I realised this was a great way to authentically document meaningful moments in peoples lives.

I am stoked that you are here, considering me to film your wedding day. Your story matters and I can’t wait to hear all about it. Feel free to get in touch by completing the contact form below and let's see where it takes us - no strings attached.

Tracey & Brendon

I received a friendly call from Tracey only days before their beautiful elopement at Harry’s lookout, Port Macquarie. This ceremony was around the corner from their home which made this a sacred place for Tracey & Brendon. Their gorgeous daughter, Brendon’s parents and Tracey’s Mum and best friend were there to witness. Tracey was almost 40 weeks pregnant with their second child who was born only days after the wedding. It was such an honour to be there to capture these moment for such a relaxed, open hearted and warm family celebration.

Hannah & David

During a La Nina year of constant rain these two were lucky to wake up to a sunny day in paradise. Hannah & David got married with their family and friends flying interstate from around the country to join them at Rancho Relaxo, Crescent Head for the weekend.

Josi & Blake

A Friday wedding fairytale. Surrounded by their loved ones Josi & Blake tied the knot with 11 month old Lily by their side. Josi’s family and friends have flown in from Germany to make this day extra special.

As if on cue, the clouds part, revealing a canvas of blue skies just in time for the sun to set at an idyllic waterside location. The Banks Cafe, Port Macquarie.

Tess & Keith

Tess & Keith first met at school, they played basketball with each other and Tess wrote I love Keith all over her pencil case. Life took them in different directions until a few years ago, they caught up and fell madly in love.

There was a crazy storm to seal their wedding day at sherwood. As Tess & Keith exchanged vows - nature decided to join in the celebration. Thunder, lightning and rain made their day even more unforgettable.

Cheers to love that can weather any storm.

Daniel & Rebecca

Rebecca dreamt about the sunset on her wedding day and when the forecast looked stormy and wet all week she accepted that the chance of a beautiful sunset was very slim and reluctantly said goodbye to these dreams. After a rainy morning they all embraced the day and were pleasantly surprised when the sun peaked through the thick clouds in the middle of the nuptials. As the bride and groom snuck off for a quick moment before the reception a double rainbow lit up the sky. Mali Brae Farm, Moss Vale.

Jade & Matt

Only hours before their ceremony took place in Crescent Head Matt & Jade spent the morning together enjoying a quick surf and playing in the ocean. On an empty beach, a sacred space for these two with a handful of their loved ones standing by to watch these two exchanged vows and became Mr & Mrs DeRusha.

What our couples say.

“Ashley is a talented videographer and I would recommend her for any wedding! She captured every moment so wonderfully and effortlessly, especially the ceremony being able to capture the live music and our vows. During the edit, she kept up communication when she was working on it and when it would be delivered and asked for our favourite songs as a soundtrack against the visuals. The finished product is amazing, and a treasured memory to have throughout our marriage! All our friends and family commented how good the video was. Don't hesitate to book her in!

— Rebecca & Daniel, Moss Vale, NSW

“Ashley had been the Videographer for our Wedding. Her work exceeded all expectations, we highly recommend Ashley for any occasion you may have.
Highly professional, made us all feel at ease on the day - exceptionally talented with the moments she had captured and delivered beautifully with the perfect soundtrack.”

— Theresa & Kale, Kempsey, NSW

“Our wedding went by In a flash but we were so grateful we had Ash as she filmed the whole day for us and created a memory for us that we treasure! We love the film she made for us and watch it all the time (especially on our wedding anniversary) she captured the day in such a special and intimate way, that it brings tears to our eyes every-time we watch it! We tell all our friends that it was the best thing we did with our wedding was having Ash there to create such beautiful lasting real video for us!.”
